Despite being armed with AT grenades and Molotovs, these elite infantry should not be relied upon to stop enemy vehicles. Overview: A squad of 6 elite Russian marines armed with a combination of SVT-40 semi automatic rifles and the DP-27 light machine gun make this squad best at medium to long range where their high accuracy makes them a dominant force over SMG wielding units. Weapons: 5 SVT-40’s, 1 DP-27, 13 frag grenades, 3 AT grenades, 3 Molotovs, 12 smoke grenades The bonus of the bazooka over the AT rifle is that the bazooka can kill tanks so it scales better into the late game. This unit is quite accurate with a decent range for ambushes but is completely defenseless against enemy infantry. Overview: A single soldier armed with the American Bazooka is on call to support the Russian infantry against heavily armoured German tanks. He also carries a single frag grenade but should not be relied on to fight enemy infantry as he will be killed quickly.
Overview: The solitary man with the PTRS 14.7mm anti-tank rifle is the Soviet’s excellent counter to enemy light vehicles. Weapons: PTRS 41, 1 frag grenade, 1 AT grenade This soldier is useful for stopping enemy infantry assaults but, being a single soldier, is easily overwhelmed by massed infantry and has absolutely no counter to enemy vehicles. Overview: The machine gunner consists of one man equipped with the DP-27 light machine gun. Despite being armed with anti-tank grenades, these men should not be expected to hold off enemy armour without support.
These troops are handy in a close quarter battle but will be destroyed by elite enemy infantry. Overview: Submachine gunners are a unit of six hardy troops equipped with the PPSH submachine gun and a handful of grenades. Weak vs: Elite infantry, armoured vehicles Weapons: 6 PPSHs, 13 frag grenades, 7 AT grenades, 6 smoke grenades The ability to build sandbags, excellent for stopping bullets and shrapnel, makes the riflement well able to defend against enemy attacks. Reliable and efficient, these troops are great for fighting enemy at long range but will crumble in the face of elite infantry or armoured vehicles.
